Wildwood has three large Pontoon boats ( 26', 30' and 32') with guides. We have brushed and baited many "spots" which will assure the success of our fisherman. Our trips originate at Wildwood Resort. Striper Fishing! One of the most overlooked fishing opportunities on Toledo Bend is Striper fishing. Wildwood Resort has three luxury pontoon boats for groups of 8 to 16 people. In addition to the fishing for Bream and Crappie, an opportunity is available for great striper fishing from these boats. It is not uncommon for an average trip to produce 5 to 10 large Stripers in the 15 to 30 pound class. Fort Jessup State Commemorative Area
Was originally a fort on the border of the United States and Spanish Texas, now the symbol of New Spain in Louisiana. Feb 28 - Mar 3, Fort Jesup State Historic Site, Many - Frontier History Symposium: 180th Anniversary, 10 a.m.- 4 p.m., each day. The Thursday/Friday schedule will offer lectures and discussions of the Western Frontier, Historical Archeology and Living History Demonstrations. On Saturday and Sunday, visitors can see living history demonstrations presenting the founding of Fort Jesup, military drills and day-to-day life as a soldier in a border fort during the 1800s.
